This orchid bolo necklace is created through organic casting, a process that embraces unpredictability and transformation. Rather than refining the form into an ideal, I preserve the orchid’s natural asymmetry, its folds, textures, and irregularities, allowing them to translate directly into metal. In this process, imperfections are not flaws but evidence of change, where softness meets permanence.

Through this work, I am exploring the idea that perfection is not a fixed ideal, but something discovered within irregularity and process. The end goal is not about replicating nature flawlessly, but about honoring its imperfections. It is important to recognize that those small “imperfections” are what make each form singular, alive, and impossible to repeat.

This ring was created as a quiet tribute to the men in my family—an object that holds both memory and movement. The carved wave-like design wraps continuously around the band, symbolizing the rhythm of generations.  The ups and downs, the steady resilience, and the unspoken strength passed from one man to the next. The waves are not perfectly uniform; they shift and flow, reflecting individuality within a shared lineage. In this way, the ring becomes more than an accessory; it is a connection, shaped by influence, guidance, and legacy.
